Seasons in the Bight Theatre Festival
Join us in magical Trinity Bight for a full festival of plays, dinner theatre, concerts and special events. Every summer and fall, Rising Tide Theatre presents an award-winning blend of drama, humor and history performed by more than 40 of the province’s most talented artists in one of our most significant settings. “The New Founde Lande Pageant” debuted in Trinity in 1993. This anchor event to the festival takes its audience on a magical journey through the lanes, roads and sites of historical Trinity accompanied by an array of colorful characters as our past unfolds in story and song. In 1994, the Company opened the “Seasons in the Bight Theatre Festival” as a companion event to the Pageant. Each year, Rising Tide Theatre offers an inspiring collection of the stories that make this province unique. Also, there is a professional theatre that will warm the heart and stir the soul.

Clarenville's newest addition to its arts community is NCTC - its very first professional theatre company. While in Clarenville shows are on offer year-round at a number of venues around the town from our hotels to an outdoor natural woodland amphitheatre with our main stage being THE LOFT THEATRE in at the White Hills Ski resort. Its regular season extends from September to May showcasing the best of Canadian and world theatre with a series of festivals scattered throughout the year. In our Cross-Handed Festival, Shakespeare on the Slopes, and the Arts Under the Stars Series you will be treated to the best of the Canadian and international stage and in our Summer Repertory Festival you will be treated to the best of the classical repertoire in both comedy and drama offering a unique flavor of entertainment for the theatre enthusiast.
